Hay [tard] , whats up

Oh come on, they can make pills, injections, inserts, and implants that cause my cervix to become thicker or my uterine lining to slough off or my ovaries to not release an egg or to trick my body into thinking it's pregnant when it isn't and change my hormone production but they can't develop a pill that inhibits the production or changes the nature of semen? Seriously? I just think there hasn't been as much research into it. Why bother? Let women deal with it. Men might suffer some consequences? Oh horrors. And while we are on the subject, why is Viagra covered by virtually every insurance company in this country but the birth control pill isn't? What's that all about?

Unfortunately, there isn't just a hormone or two that controls semen production. Its not that easy. And if you think we don't want that shit to protect us from crazy fucking women, you couldn't be more wrong.

You don't know how PMS works. You don't know the different (and dangerous) options your wife, your life partner, has to decide because you both agreed you don't want any more kids and are unwilling to perform a slight sacrifice on your part to save her from the time and pain and scarring and damage. Yes. thoughtless.

Wrong, no woman of mine HAS to do anything. If they don't want to have any of said procedures done, then that's their choice.

word. The concept of trapping a man into a relationship with a baby is pretty high up there in nightmare scenarios for me. Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have a kid with a great woman. But any woman who will take steps to get knocked up by me on the sly is not on the list of 'great woman'.

You make a good point as far as wanting to be protected from crazy women. It isn't just a hormone or two that regulates women either, but we have discovered that by just changing one of them it fucks with the ability to reproduce. I'm willing to bet it's true for guys too but maybe it isn't safe just like for women. Now I want to research it more, but I really do need to go landscape and then get packed for the beach, so I will pick this up over the weekend when I'm home.

It's not.

You all are born with every egg you will ever release in your entire life already packed in there. We have to make ours daily. Completely different processes.

Men don't have cramps, crazy hormones, etc. they need to control on top of everything else. Makes more sense for women to deal with the whole thing.

Realistically if frost was snipped kiwi would still be on something to reduce cramps, pms, etc.

I've never been on birth control and I don't get cramps or crazy hormones or anything. I resent the fact that you are implying that women need to take a pill to be "normal." most of us don't.

It's an excuse we've all heard a million times, just because it doesn't apply to you it doesn't mean it's not true in general.

I had a roommate who was pretty much disabled during her period because of cramps and when she finally got fixed all her problems went away. She was only like twenty six at the time of the surgery...

Actually, I'm not on anything, haven't been since before the last kid was born. Birth control pills mess me up horribly mentally, and Frost and I both much prefer me when I'm not on them. Luckily I only cramp for 2 days a month, on the day I ovulate, and the first day of my period, so a couple aspirin and taking it easy seem to care for that. The PMS is a new development, it's really only become a problem in the last few months. Yes, we as a married couple currently use condoms for a couple weeks out of the month to prevent pregnancy.

I have a sister who has endometriosis and is very much similar. She's had surgery to repair that but still has her girl parts. She'd have them out already, but she's single and is still hoping to have kids at some point.
