we got it up and running, but good god there's like a zillion "options".


it doesn't look particularly fantastic, just bigger. but maybe there's some setting I need to adjust. and also, all channels aren't HD, right? saw some complaints about that on the AV forum.

thanks tho.. I called WAW and interrupted his dice game about it.


guess we need a new HD cable box too for that HDMI cord?


still just a little confused what goes where. there are no directions just a schematic.

Yes, you definitely need an HD cable box, and no not all channels are HD.

yup, HD cable box with HDMI out to the tv or AV receiver and then 5.1 or 7.1 surround

i think our surround sound, which is the same component as our DVD player, is dated. amazingly enough I think janice bought that a few years back for my bday.


we've only been married almost 4 years and it's already dated?

i don't think it has an HDMI jack.

Hmm, how to hide the cables on that though. it would pretty much ruin the entire appearance otherwise. Maybe a piece of wiremold or something.

weave a few rope lights into the cable snake mess to turn it into a feature. zip tie it all into a nice straight "pipe" of wiring.
