And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?

Things that I liked about Alabama:

1. Shawn's family.
2. Not having to get up for work.
3. Traveling to a place I have never been.
4. No cell towers

Things I did not like about Alabama:

1. Sharing a bathroom with 15 other people (well, three bathrooms really, two at another house but you get the picture.)
2. Stray dogs that are uncared for. (They were EVERYWHERE)
3. Driving 40 minutes to the nearest liquor store
4. Driving ANOTHER 40 minutes at least 2 more time because we didn't buy enough the first two times.
5. No cell towers
6. No breeze
7. No ATV's (another family brougt bratty kids so the owners hid them from everyone.)
8. Piggly Wiggly (they didn't carry hardly anything I needed to make red sauce)
9. Staying in a 9 year olds bedroom. All the good channels were blocked by parental controls (they have only sattelite, no cable)
10. THE TWELVE HOUR DRIVE!!!

We had a good time but it was a bit of a culture shock. This trip once again proved to us exactly how lucky we are to live where we live, and have what we have.

Red sauce? Where the fuck did you think you were, yankee? The only sauces down south begin with 'G' and end in 'Y'.

Which brings me to my next question:

How many cans of pork gravy did you use to make toast?
