Hawt Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016! Happy New Years! / NYE thread

lolz. I think I'm more like Dom in this area. "Need to cut down one branch way up on a tree once every few years = must get appropriate, very well made tool. Will share."

exactly. I can hire someone to take down a tree, or a can buy really nice chainsaw, a couple of 30 ton tow straps, a nice crosscut saw, and some wedges, and be prepared to take down any tree in my future for the rest of my life.

Edit: all the of the above for less than the price of paying someone to do it once.

I'm narrowing down prop in MI. . . may have to do a 40 acre starter farm before going 500+ acres.

40 is good. I grew up on 40 that later became 100 then 150 after the neighbors died/moved and we bought em out.

40 is enough that you can never see your neighbor if you place the house right.

ewww, too much work.

You buy land so you dont have to landscape, because the landscaping is already there and has been growing for 200 years.

a few horses/sheep/cows requires 10 acres of cleared max. That means you can have 30 acres of wooded.
