I found out almost two weeks ago that one of the directors of my program nominated me for a scholarship through the PInellas County Historical Society. Well, last night I got word that I won it based on "[my] previous work, present research, and future potential as a scholar with an interest in the history of the Pinellas Peninsula."

Woo hoo!

It's $1500. There was a two-way tie so I have to split it with another guy, but fuckin a...

Also, Amy just sent me a text stating that the other driver's insurance company finally accepted liability so we don't have to pay a $1000 deductible.

Congrats, did that have anything to do with the report on Jays family? BTW they said they really enjoyed your company and how nice of a guy you were!
 
I keep reading it as more of a huffy "good day" as in "good day to you" and then a stomp off, as opposed to simply a good day.
