Going to Dinner with Asa: AMA

Think of a regular diner. American as fuck, right?
Now hippie it up as much as you can. Vegetarian option in every category.

Zac and I each had a "Domino" burger. It was good quality, but I can't really remember the hippie-ness of it. The ketchup was soooo good, obviously homemade and filled with garlic. There was a "Wino" burger that had Apple-Bacon Jam, some sort of fancy cheese (Gouda? Brie? maybe?), either pickled or carmelized onions, and some other good shit.

Ladybutt got a curried chicken thing. As a garnish it had thinly sliced and fried lotus root. Was like a sort of citrusy/lemony potato chip.

It was all good. http://ellasfolkartcafe.com/food.html
I loooovvve places like this! Well, I love diners, but then when you see "different" types of food available, I get so excited.

From the size of the menu I would guess that they end up rotating through and changing it up regularly. Those are my favorite places.

This place is near some friends of ours, they have maybe two or three sammiches that they keep on the menu, but every time we go there they have something new. At some schedule I haven't mapped out they do a traditional sunday dinner-style meal, and maybe two months back Ladybutt got the meatloaf. It was fucking huge, and it was the best damned meatloaf I've ever had. Garlic mashed 'taters, mushroom gravy with pearl onions. Holy shit it was good

Need to take Zac an Ape there sometime soon.

i love that place because it's a big edible pinball machine, I love bouncing from one amazing hole in the wall eatery to another after walking up and down those hills
San Fran just has soooo much variety from cool diners to crazy upscale restos... and I think cuz i love the city soooo much I just find everything extra awesome over there.
