So the new "war" update is supposed to drop tonight. This is the long awaited update for the demo man and soldier. Anyone gonna be around to play?

If you're unaware, here are some of the new weapons

There is also a fourth weapon that will go to either the soldier or demo. If the demos kill more soldiers this week, the demo get the new weapon. If the soldier wins, well you fuckin get it. So far the totals are:

Dead Demos: 5,742,720
Dead Soldiers: 5,727,928

I'm assuming all is free if you already own a copy of TF2, no?

They are doing a free weekend starting tonite, if you don't own it. If you do own it, its a normal update and is free.

The administrator found that the blue soldier and red demo we're becoming friends. To stop that, she created a war, so they would compete with each other.

btw, I found this to be hilarious.

Back when we launched the Propaganda contest, we originally figured it'd be a cakewalk to judge. You might not know this, as it's a well-kept industry secret, but normally with giveaway tie-in contests for video games, you get about 10 entries. Seven of these are virulently racist. The other two are pornography. The last one, regardless of its quality, wins by default.

At home. It's running on a VM configured with 4 procs and 4gb of RAM. I've got 25mb down and 15 up. I don't know if that's enough, but I guess I'll find out.

The new weapons are way too good. That fucking sword is annoying. And the soldier's direct hit is disgustingly powerful. I do like the crafting system though.
