I paid $2.03/gallon for gas today...

Anyone else nearing the $2 mark? Think it'll stay this low at least through winter?

Now I just have to wait on Alaska to finish building the natural gas pipeline down the lower 48... that sucker will drive down the rest of my energy costs. They've got an absolute shitton of natural gas up there, and have nothing to do with it.

I saw it hit .69 cents in athens, ga before/during the olympics in '96. I don't remember the prices when I was a kid because I didn't buy gas

It was only below 2 bucks here for a very short while about 9 months ago. It's been within 10-15 cents of 2.50 ever since then.
