How do I actually upgrade my ship? I think I upgraded the shields. The guy said something about it being in my cargo bay, and I don't think I've gotten the upgrade after purchase. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

A lot of the controls are not very intuitive.

And the local map is embarrassing.

The ship controls are also embarrassing. Moving left or right to control systems power one at a time? Really?

I have a whole keyboard. Let me use it. Two keys per system to toggle up and down.

I sprained my ankle. Had to figure out which AID item to take, because you can’t just get all Chem'ed up in this game and call it good.
