What are some of the fun exercises you guys do? I'd love to pick up a team sport, but not set on which one yet.

Quite frankly the...

Gym sucks - BORING
Running sucks - BORING
Battlefield - FUN

But, like most of you, I sit on my butt for nine hours at work then come home and do it some more. Maybe we can do a Tampa volleyball league or something equally gay?

:D

12oz curls.

I do like racquetball, but have yet to get a regular game going. It's also fun going for a bike ride with someone, though I get more exercise biking if I go by myself because I go faster.

I love the gym when I can get motivated to do it.

Well, getting the puppy kinda screwed that up back in ought-six, so I managed to gain back 30-something pounds up until recently, just lost 10 so only net 20.

Since I've been working from home often, I've taken to doing longer walks up and down the hills in my area, occasionally breaking out the pedal(!) bike for brief jaunts up the steeper hills. Even ran a couple of days this week.

Looks like I've somehow managed to get in a non-gym exercise groove, which is an absolute first for me

I need to start doing my morning workout again myself...gained a couple and starting to get a bit gushy

We are buying a huge home gym next week to replace the foozeball table and the big screen we never use. Here is what we are going with...

I am still 100% down for starting up a coed baseball game, would anyone else be interested?

I'd be down for V ball. On the beach it's grueling. We'd have to get there early to get a net.

I don't think I even know the rules of Volleyball, except that you have to hit it over the net...

I am all for it though, I can buy an oversized birdie and some paddles at wally world too! Actually we could do this in my backyard and BBQ/football also, my backyard is just a huge open well groomed field. I dont really care for the beach, especially this time of year it being spring break and all

I just wanna do something active for a change, not just sit in a shitty dark bar

Well, lets take a gander over to this website:

Now lets click on the link for Dancing with Cats

http://www.monpa.com/dwc/index.html

I was a little confused at this point. Are they joking?

From the FAQ - http://www.monpa.com/dwc/faq.html

Why would anyone want to dance with their cat?

Well firstly I think its become a way for cat owners to enter into a more interesting and meaningful relationship with their cats. Once they've danced with their cat you often find they'll speak of feeling that their cat is now a far more significant part of their world and some say they've entered into a kind of spiritual partnership with it. Secondly, cat dancers claim that dancing with their cats makes them feel great. Ok, so whenever we do something in unison with another being we raise our levels of awareness and feel stimulated, but there seems to be something quite profound that happens to these people. They appear to be affected both physically and emotionally. They talk of feeling alive for the first time and claim they become more out going, assertive and generous.

It actually looks like these people are serious...

Oh yes, there are pictures

Too bad baseball isn't much exercise. :hs:

We can do the steroids for fun tho!

I was in the same boat then took up mountain biking. If you find some other people to bike with (on trails, paved or unpaved, not that faggy spandex in my fucking way on a main road type of biking), then it's not so boring. You feel like you're getting somewhere on paved trails and have a goal to accomplish... getting back to your car/house. Plus you get to try to keep up with someone else, or race them, or whatever else.

If you get really tired you can just coast a bit, stop and rest, whatever else... just doesnt seem to be as abusive and difficult as running, but you still get the cardio.

On unpaved trails you're so focused on getting around the rocks and what not that you dont even notice the pedaling and what not, you're completely preoccupied... which is awesome.
