exactly. . i work in clubs and the 'tenders hate $1 drink night and sink or swim because people don't tip well.

minimum wage laws don't apply to wait staff. people working at bars and restaurants only get something around $2/hour, plus tips. it let's restaurants keep prices artificially low to draw in business.I don't tip at bars
same...I worked in bars and restaurants for 5 years so it would be inexcusable of me not to
speaking of breakfast, I got the breakfast platter at chickfila this morning...fried chicken, scrambled cheese eggs + a biscuit and gravy all doused in hot sauce

me too. usually with my first drink i'll leave $5 or $10 (bars are cheap around here), so i get served faster later on.
That goes without saying. My comment about people being cheap by pursuing something free was a joke. My comment about Americans clamoring for free food, however, was not.
