I am planning on brest-feeding, I just want to get some bottles for when its not possible to brest-feed. I am in a wedding shortly after the baby is due and it won't exactly be easy with a dress on. Also for when I am at work, and when the baby is with family.
good girl. breastfeeding = win

Brings to mind one of the physician assistants my department transcribes for. We kept hearing this funny noise in the background when she dictated, almost like a vacuum cleaner, but not quite. Someone made inquiries, and we found out that it was a breast pump. We knew she had a baby not long ago, but somehow it never occurred to us that the sound was that!

Yeah... I plan on doing it in the privacy of my own home.

It doesn't work out for everyone, and not all women want to do it. It's a great thing for the babies, but somehow most bottle-fed babies do fine

She wanted to and tried- pumped, got frustrated, tried some more and we finally just went to bottles. They've turned out okay so far though....... :D

It makes more sense to me to just go with the bottle rather than get overly worked up about it. It's a nice thing to be able to do, but not necessarily a test of mothering ability.

That being said, if I were ever to have another baby (NOOOOO!!!) I would definitely plan on breast-feeding again.

Only really went through that with the first one, and then decided that any other kids, we'd just go straight to the bottle and forgo the drama :) Mind you, this only went on for about a week, maybe two, before she threw in the towel.
