Good. HIV positive people in occupations where physical contact with others is going to happen is something to avoid.

You do realize this is in direct violation of federal bills that prevent that sort of discrimination, right? And you do know doctors and nurses and physical therapists and manicurists and dentists can and are poz with no problems, right?

Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americans_with_Disabilities_Act_of_1990

Rehabilitation Act of 1973 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rehabilitation_Act_of_1973

Basically you cannot discriminate employment, especially for a public position like a police officer, based on disabilities.

That is only partially correct. The ADA does not cover if an ailment impairs an individual's ability to perform certain functions of a job, thus causing the individual to pose a direct threat to the health or safety of the individual or others. If you are in a role where it is known that a part of your job will transmit or expose the disease then you're not covered. Example you're in a job that has exposure to blood. It also does not cover if you cannot do the job because of the ailment and it might cause danger to others.

Great, so now I've got to employ quadraplegics and blind people for door security.

The ADA is a wide-ranging civil rights law that prohibits, under certain circumstances, discrimination based on disability. It affords similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964,[4] which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, and other characteristics illegal. Disability is defined by the ADA as "a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity." The determination of whether any particular condition is considered a disability is made on a case by case basis.

On a case by case basis, you can determine that blindness or quadriplegics could not fill the role of a bodyguard because that position called for all of your limbs and sight without exception. There is no corrective thing you can do about that. As for Pork Soda's issue with say a doctor that's poz, prevention with additional gloves and not being involved with ER procedures or surgeries but rather treating broken bones and setting casts and such is a workaround.

You can't catch it by just touching someone. Have a little compassion for the people that do have it not by choice.

Correct but at the same time if you have anything that might affect the heath and welfare of others then sorry you shouldn't be in roles that might cause harm. It's no different that not allowing someone who is prone to seizures to drive.
