Thoughts on making a beef stew for dinner tonight? Should I use a stout like Guinness or beef stock with a shot or three shots of bourbon? I was planning on doing this in a pressure cooker so I can have it tonight lol. I was also planning on making cornish pasties with the leftovers tomorrow or over the weekend.

a bit of stout at the beginning with beef stock, finish with more stout at the end

Exactly.

Dude could have just not said a damn thing, but wasn't happy because people that didn't think like him WERE happy, so he had to go out and fuck things up.

Yeah that's exactly what he was thinking! "They're not like me and happy! I'll fix that!" :rolleyes:

It's funny how athiest types go off on the church being all anti 'live and let live', yet they are the first ones do to exactly the same when any sign of religion encroaches in their life.

BECAUSE IT'S THE FUCKING LAW.

Uh huh. I bet Damon Fowler goes out into the world on a daily basis and seeks to right wrongs and insure that the public upholds the laws of the land. This wasn't a special interest, personal complaint at all. :lol:

You'd be a fool to bet on things you know nothing about.

Things we know about this situation:

1. A large amount of religious students wanted to pray at their graduation;
2. Bastrop High School had traditionally sponsored a moment of prayer at graduations, undoubtedly because it was a very popular practice;
3. An atheist student didn't want them to anymore, because belief in invisible sh*t is totally lame whether it has anything to do with him or not;
4. The atheist student gave the school an ultimatum instead of simply ignoring everything, being mature, and looking the other way;
5. The school said "Fine, we will simply have a moment of silence instead;"
6. A student ignored the school's decision and recited the Lord's Prayer during the moment of silence;
7. The atheist student got mad because he was totally unable to overlook this great travesty of justice;
8. No one's religious freedoms were trampled;
9. At least one person's religious freedom was exercised;
10. No one suffered tangible damages;
11. Atheists with a lot of free time on their hands have hailed him as a hero instead of encouraging everyone, regardless of beliefs, to thicken their skins and get along with one another out of posterity;
12. The Constitution has routinely been brought up, as though the School District officials took to the stage, announced that Christianity was now Bastrop High School's official religion, and prohibited any other type of prayer or reflection unless Baby Jesus was involved.

1. A large amount of religious students wanted to pray at their graduation;

You don't know how many wanted it.

2. Bastrop High School had traditionally sponsored a moment of prayer at graduations, undoubtedly because it was a very popular practice;

This means nothing.

3. An atheist student didn't want them to anymore, because belief in invisible sh*t is totally lame whether it has anything to do with him or not;

Wrong. He didn't want the school to officially sponsor it because it's unconstitutional and illegal.

4. The atheist student gave the school an ultimatum instead of simply ignoring everything, being mature, and looking the other way;

Looking the other may be what you consider mature, but it's what I call gutless.

5. The school said "Fine, we will simply have a moment of silence instead;"

They knew they could get away with it passively.

6. A student ignored the school's decision and recited the Lord's Prayer during the moment of silence;

She should of kept it to herself.

7. The atheist student got mad because he was totally unable to overlook this great travesty of justice;

Where do you know this from? He told the school he would simply contact the ACLU if they did it. He later backed down after threats.

8. No one's religious freedoms were trampled;

How do you know? I'm thinking your idea of religious freedom shares the same accuracy as your understanding of the constitution.

9. At least one person's religious freedom was exercised;

By shoving her beliefs in other people's faces? :lol:

10. No one suffered tangible damages;

Wrong. Fowler did.

11. Atheists with a lot of free time on their hands have hailed him as a hero instead of encouraging everyone, regardless of beliefs, to thicken their skins and get along with one another out of posterity;

That's just more of your made up bullshit.

12. The Constitution has routinely been brought up, as though the School District officials took to the stage, announced that Christianity was now Bastrop High School's official religion, and prohibited any other type of prayer or reflection unless Baby Jesus was involved.

Factitious sensationalism is all you got.
