And I think it goes against their own teachings. The worst example of this hypocrisy, of course, is the grandeur of the Catholic church.

Has anyone used a bluetooth to serial adapter? I got a new laptop that doesn't have a serial port and I use serial for programing network switches and ups all the time. I have a usb to serial dongle but it would be nice to get rid of the extra wires

Not me. Bluetooth would be cool. I use the bluetooth on my Thinkpad t-410 to tether to my Blackberry and it works great, though, so I would assumed a bluetooth to serial would, for the most part, work as well, especially for a communications standard that hasn't changed in decades like pass through serial.
