I feel your pain b. Also, he's right about the evac signs, and I think they are only required in dorms at the most.

We've dealt with colleges where we get original prints from the building maintenance guys from 1914.. Hand drawn, sometimes to scale. Good stuff.

In other words, ask your building maintenance group or your fire alarm contractor. by code we have to keep drawings of all buildings we put fire alarms in...

Sonitrol does all most of our security systems and all of our fire alarms. we just provide them constant connections off campus.

don't know if they just monitor it or install it too. If they install it they should have record drawings. We have them for every single one of our systems... All in cad.

Sonitrol sucks so damn bad. They monitor and install the fire alarm systems. They are the biggest bunch of dumbasses and do a shit job of wiring. I don't know how many projects that we've put in a few thousand drops and the cable trays look sharp and then you have one fucked up looking sonitrol fire alarm wire zig zagging around looking out of place. Just the other day I showed two of their guys how to terminate rj45 ends.

Mrs Valve wanted to go to Vegas for her b-day this year. Since that didn't work out we're going to do a casino night b-day party here at the house, with door prizes and such.

We'll have darts, poker, roulette, slots, blackjack, beer pong. Maybe craps?

Any suggestions on fun casino night games?

fire alarm and networking are 2 completely different things. we don't use any cat5 in our systems.

security is moving towards IP but has only made a huge push in the past 2-3 years to standardize on it and leave the legacy stuff in the dust.
