We have virus that has caused a global pandemic. Because its exposed to soooo many people, nature has granted it a great opportunity to evolve to become more fit. Additionally, there are a handful of animal reservoirs that we already know that it easily spills over into (omicron may have come from rats). Combine all of our cursory understanding of the immune system with the very obvious example of the flu vaccine and the result *should* be that boosters would not be surprising.

It has nothing to do with vaccines being ineffective, so can you spell out what *exactly* the issue is?
