It’s the third. I didn’t know it till they got kicked out of hotels last month though.
I do know the first 10 are the bill of rights though so I’ll take that win. Maybe I need to schedule a constitution class for my boys so I can learn them all.

They weren't too keen on standing armies back in the day. They were raised to fight a war then decommisioned/defunded when the war was over.
Was considered a threat to elected civilian government.
I might be wrong on this but last I remember the only constitutionally mandated branch of service is the Navy. To this day, every 2 years, Congress must first vote whether or not to even have an Army, then vote how much to fund it.
Largely a formality now and may've been superseded by various acts or whatever but an interesting bit of history nonetheless.
Might be one of those things that was reconstructed during Reconstruction.
