Really, Ghana shouldn't have had to shoot a penalty..

Look, 100+ years of history isn't going to mean shit if players/teams see this as a useful strategy for winning a game. It will hurt the game of soccer like flooping is slowly doing right now.

Every other sport in the world acts in a progressive manner to stamp out unsportsmanlike conduct and cheating.

Yes. But this is only for extreme situations like this, coupled with video reply reviewing.

I love this sports and I hate seeing it fall apart with people learning to work the rules in their favour.
