Why kind of transmission could they use for that much power? Didn't Audi have to detune their version of the diesel engine because they were shredding their transmissions?

audi was blowing trannies(LOL) but they got the situation fixed up obviously...don't think it involved too much detuning because that would start costing them races and defeat the whole purpose of going diesel

The diesels probably last for more races so they can afford to replace more transmissions instead, I'm guessing

the key to the diesels is better mpg which means less pitstops which = quicker time

the transmission issues have been worked out on the audi anyway...don't know if this car has officially run yet

Hopefully some short stroke diesels that are actually fun to drive will soon be on the market.

I rented a Seat in England last year that had the 150hp VW/Audi TDI with the DSG transmission, that was pretty damn fun to drive

Got 600 miles to a tank, too
