Good luck dude. Now comes the really tough part. Where you miss her and she calls you crying because she's all alone. The best tip I can give you if you don't want to get back with her: Find a time in your recent past that made you VERY angry. Relive it in your mind as best you can. Revel in that anger. It will really help you get past the points when you feel weak and may want her back.

that's really good advice. it's an odd defense mechanism, but go with what works.

i've also found that a good pint of ben & jerry's works well too. that and chopping down a bunch of trees with an axe.

It's a tactic I found after my last ex. iirc, it also worked for my best friend too.

I think that will be the easy part. Just in the past 2 months there's been a suicide threat, a broken $300 phone, and being called a "no-balled bastard"...

...yeah, should have ended it there.

2 1/2 years.

It's funny, because I remember around the 6 month mark we were fighting, and she was hinting that "she would be just fine if we broke up" etc. etc. So I say, "Fine, it's over."

She then yells "YOU'RE BREAKING UP WITH ME?!?!" and starts crying.

I swear if I looked hard enough, I could see the Young and The Restless film crew in the kitchen...
