Obama has already hit a snag with his plans to close GITMO. A military judge has already challenged his authority due to causing unreasonable delays in trials. Oddly enough his defense is the public interest in a speedy trial.

Exactly. Majority of the people there are not US citizens so who is going to do the trials and by whose laws are they being punished? US, UN, Military law, etc?
