They were cool with rape back then. It was legit. They even had rules about when you had to marry the woman you raped.

That would be because women were property, not people. It would have been covered under Thou Shall Not Steal. Women could no more give consent than withdraw it, "rape" would be if it was outside of prearranged property transfer agreement between her father and her new husband. That's why there were rules about marrying the woman you raped- not because you owed it to her to try to do the right thing or anything, but because it was your duty to take the soiled goods off the hands of the family (since they'll never get a good dowry now) and why you have to pay the father- theft.
