Disappointment With Movies

Hollywood is a unionized money machine. It's all they exist for. It doesn't matter what the subject is, as long as it makes more money than it cost. Call it Socialist Investing 101. Someone will go see those shitty movies, and they will go see most other movies. Take their penchant for remaking older films.

Honestly, can you think of a more ludicrous business plan than taking an entire library of existing movies and then refilming them one at a time? Some are only 20 or 30 years old. If that isn't justification for the existence of countless production crews and actors I don't know what is. They're inventing work and keeping themselves employed year round and we as the consumers are supporting it.

not I...the last movie I saw in the theater was 2002

edit: besides 2 bruce campbell indie flicks
 
we've watched 3 movies in the last 4/5 days and they all pretty much sucked.

California _____ or _____ California about the dude trying to find the buried treasure that turns out to be under Costco.


iono.. 1 or 2 others that were apparently so bad i can't remem the titles OR plots.
