Dear theac,

Dear scotty pants

One of my lcd monitors at home goes fuzzy once in a while. Like horizontal lines buzzing on the screen disrupting the image.

Is it the monitor, the vid card, interference of some kind, and how do I figure out which one without tearing shit apart?

Its more than likely the monitor. I'd really have to see a sample of it to tell you what's going on, but it kinda sounds like your controller board in the LCD is starting to go. No easy fix there. If you can find a similar LCD on Ebay for cheap, you can swap the board. You might just want to consider getting a new LCD though.

Thats probably what Ill do (get a whole new one)
Just been putting it off since I wasnt sure what the problem was.

I think the card has one of the dvi plugs on it, and theres a dvi-vga adapter between it and the monitor.

I think thats how its set up.
I think I know where waw is going. If the A>D converter is going bad, there's a chance you can bypass that shit by going straight digital.
