I don't remember the story either.

I only remember avatar because it's loosely based on dances with the wolves. The effects were cool but it got old like thirty minutes in, I also imagine this is our generations "star wars" in terms of revolutionary special effects so it was a massive accomplishment, just not a fan of the under lying political tones that will be irreverent in another thirty years.
