Corporatocracy at its finest. Some interesting info from the FED audit.

They shouldn't be fought, but nobodies stopping them... Dems had their chance and just kind of ignored it...

And some investments are better than others, money won't change a culture though. War on drugs have proven that, and now a failing educational system is blaming a lack of funding when the root cause is parents don't put in the time to raise their kids anymore. when is enough? When class sizes are down to one kids per teacher and that teacher has the kid 200 hours a week?

what fantasy land do you live in? lol
i just looked it up and it's 35 kids per class in GA

Here's what throwing money ay the problem did for kcmo schools, you can use this as a case study, and I'm sure people will.

Note the cost per student, the wastefull spending, and the lack of improved test scores. As a follow up, they did end up closing twenty some schools for lack of attendence and to be financially stable. Suburban schools pay less per student here and some excel... Because parents are involved with their kids.

from what I read it's horrible mismanagement that is the culprit. has nothing to do with the parents or students. it's no different than running a company into the ground.

Everyone better just face facts. Corporate America and the Banks are just ripping the rest of us with the help of our politicians and there isn't really any of us can do about it because we're too busy trying to figure out how Lindsey Lohan isn't in jail.

bbbingo! What hasn't uncle sam horribly mismanaged? And you want them in charge of your health cause their proven track record is so awesome?

Private companies don't perform they should fail (meaning no bailouts)... government gets propped up as long as we can support it, meaning when it finally fails... We will already be completely screwed at that point.

your city hired retards. that isn't irreversible.

Give up? Id rather problems be addressed in other ways outside of lets just spend more or have the government do it all.

More should be on a state level too, the fed is simply to big and costly to get moving... Not to mention what works in montana won't work in nyc.

Perhaps instead of investing money into the sinkhole of education the government should put money into community projects that enable people to parent better. It's been said the biggest difference is bad parenting and that social factor won't be fixed putting more money into schools.

These blanket statements of all government is bad is just ignorant bullshit. There needs to be government run options running in parallel with private options for a lot of things. If you let one monopolize the other than you are not going to see competitive innovation and costs.

No one said ALL, just the federal government. And just so you don't go off on a tangent, its not ALL of the Federal government either - just most if it. Its too big to be nimble enough to adjust quickly to change. Combine that with entirely too many wasteful layers and you have a recipe for uselessness.

And name one thing that the government makes private industry competitive at. Now THAT is funny.
