How many trillions of dollars has this country spent ever since LBJ declared "War on Poverty"? Over 8 trillion dollars and now spending over a trillion dollars a year with the poverty rate climbing. While I do have sympathy for those need assistance, too may are gaming and using the system. The worst thing that happened to black families after the Civil War was the "War on Poverty". It broke up the traditional family. Even during the "Great Depression" black families had it better because they were intact.

Most poor in the U.S. pay no taxes right now. They aren't living the high life on their income of $10,000/year. If you move to a flat tax at say 25%, all you've done is decreased that $10,000 wage earner's income by $2,500.
