yes, its covered by the secureconnect cable when its installed.
 
There's a freaking picture showing the power connector at the bottom of the 1-page PDF you posted, Nev. :lol:

edit: it doesn't look like it's covered by the secure connect.... :confused:

Not the SATA power connector. Just the legacy one silly pants.

I know, but why even include an SATA power connector if you're going to encourage this type of connection. And why put pinouts on the inside of the cable for the power connector?

That's what I'm talking about, tinkle lips. In the little pic at the bottom right of that pdf there is the SATA...and on the far right there is the legacy receptacle, which isn't covered by the SATA. Are you saying yours is covered?

no, I'm saying that the SATA connector is covered. What if you don't have legacy connectors, dear.
