Whats a tranny smell like, strings?
Looks gold to me!
I'd just buy a known good one instead of building from scratch and hoping for the best. They're not all that expensive.@gee
Know anything about metal detectors and how to simulate one metal with a different one to verify it works?
My dad's late cousin with the SouthBend Lathe bought gold, probably buried it. I've got a crappy metal detector, want to try and verify we have something that will pick up the gold if its buried. Suggestions?
Thinking about building this with the 16" loop if the one we have doesn't work

Edit:. I bet she's good at digging as well.
Any clue what I'd need to do to verify I've made a good choice in buying one? Looks like there's a fairly wide range of prices and presumably options/quality $75-300I'd just buy a known good one instead of building from scratch and hoping for the best. They're not all that expensive.
You can always resell it to an old beach guy after you find your huge pile of gold.Any clue what I'd need to do to verify I've made a good choice in buying one? Looks like there's a fairly wide range of prices and presumably options/quality $75-300
