College Football Week #7

Excuses? We won without our bread and butter (the rushing game).

And JoePa can't win, the only reason you're winning is because he's finally handed the reigns over.

What's Tressel's record vs, SEC? 0-9
How many national championships does Tressel have? 1 Underwaterbasket U doesn't count.
How many perfect seasons does Tressel have? 1

Tressel's record against the Big10? 76-14
Tressel's perfect seasons in conference play? 2
Tressel's Big10 championships? 4
Teams with a winning record against Tressel? 0

I don't know what your rolleyes was about, but stats don't lie.

Now if your stats were from the SEC, they'd be important. But winning in the BigTen is like the Special Olympics these days...

Except that whole exchange was about JoePa vs Tressel.

so it was relevant. SEC had nothing to do with it. And one team does not a conference make. Just because the top team in the SEC was better, doesn't mean the rest of the conference is.

So Tressel in wins in the Big Ten. At least JoePa can beat teams outside the Big 10. Even in the years that OSU beats Penn State. Joe Pa still wins his bowl game unlike Tressel.

@fly Do you even know why JoePa is hurt?

That speaks more of the caliber of teams OSU plays than the abilities of OSU.

Our competition just happens to be that much higher.

2006 - Penn State loses to Notre Dame
2004 - Penn State loses to Boston College.
2003 - Penn State loses to Boston College and Nebraska
2002 - Penn State loses to Auburn

Every single one of our out of conference losses has been against the #1 or #2 team since 2002 (LSU, Florida, USC, and Texas)

So not only did we lose to higher ranked opponents, but we've lost less times than PSU as well.

Tressel is 4-3 in bowl games since he came to OSU.
JoePa is 3-1. So Tressel's won as many bowl games as JoePa has played in the same time.

I'll tale JoePa's winning percentage over Tressel's.
