Coqui's secret.

Pick every home team, and then select a couple random away teams to make it look like you just aren't picking every home team.

So is miami u going to have a football program anymore?

http://sports.yahoo.com/investigati...miami_booster_details_illicit_benefits_081611

This details every player/coach involved and has scans of bank accounts, call logs, etc. for each one. They won't get the death penalty, but it's going to be the step right below it.

Granted this requires proof to be accepted but:

I'm venturing show cause tag on every coach involved, 5 scholarship reductions per year for the next 4 years, vacating 2002-2010 seasons. 2 year post season ban.

Of course this is only if they prove administration was involved all the time.

The death penalty (no football for a year) won't happen because there is too much money involved in the big business of college football.

I think that Coqui penalty is fairly close to the mark.

IIRC, didn't Miami already get the death penalty once with a 3 year postseason ban @ the end of the Dennis Erickson era, which eventually led to their downfall to the mediocrity they are in now?

I remember some pretty severe NCAA sanctions basically knocking them out of any kind of competition what so ever and changed the annual FSU/Miami meet from being a national championship factor, to being meh.

The last and only football program to get the death penalty was the SMU Mustangs in 87. Only Div II Morehouse College's soccer program and Div. III MacMurray College's tennis program have had the death penalty since then.

yea, the unforeseen fall out and unintended ruined program for twenty five years from the smu thing makes peopl think they'll never hand it down again. With repeat offenders and on this level though... Kind of hurts the image of the entire college football system.

The Death Penalty is more than a 3 year ban.

The 1987 season was canceled; only conditioning drills would be permitted during the 1987 calendar year.
All home games in 1988 were canceled. SMU was allowed to play their seven regularly scheduled away games so that other institutions would not be financially affected.
The team's existing probation was extended until 1990. Its existing ban from bowl games and live television was extended to 1989.
SMU lost 55 new scholarship positions over 4 years.
SMU was required to ensure that Owen and eight other boosters previously banned from contact with the program were in fact banned, or else face further punishment.
The team was allowed to hire only five full-time assistant coaches, instead of the typical nine.
No off-campus recruiting would be permitted until August 1988, and no paid visits could be made to campus by would-be recruits until the start of the 1988-89 school year.

Basically 1.5 years without playing any home games, 1 year without playing any games, 0 scholarships for 4 years, and the players had to come to them.
