For RG6 cable, what are the benefits of going with quad shielded cable over standard cable? And for in wall speaker wire, will 16/4 wire work fine, or do I really need 14/4?

I'd go with 14/4 on the in-wall stuff, but that's just because I have a bad habit of over-doing everything.
The install guide I read said 16/4 was fine, but that some people prefer 14/4. Now this wire is STRICTLY for in ceiling ambience speakers, nothing thats gonna boom or anything.

Use quad shielded you cheap ass.

Use 14/4 and make sure its rated for in wall use.
will 16/4 work fine for the in ceiling stuff?

And why should I use quad shielded? I'm planning on doing it, but I want to know what the benefits are.

No one can defeat the quad shielding.
