From my experience with their projector line, I wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole.

There was some rumor that they were making LCDs for Dell at one time or another, but the only confirmed mfr's I've seen for Dell LCDs are Samsung and LG.

Benq was an Acer spinoff.

As for the monitor I've actually have heard good things about it. ok refresh rate (16ms) and DVI output. only thing I've heard is that the color can be somewhat washed out but they may have had the screen too bright from the jump. for that price you cant really go wrong.
