Tomorrow I plan on covering myself in maple syrup and spending the day in my freezer cutting up logs. How do you all plan on celebrating my favourite (after Australia, New Zealand, Rhodesia, India, Belize, South Africa, America and Malaya that is) ex-colony's day?

Everyone in the office today is finishing their sentences with "eh."

I ate a big ass Beaver Tail after I ate pancakes covered with Canadian Maple Syrup, for lunch I ate a huge ass plate of poutine but I don't know what I will have for dinner. Maybe I will just have something light while I wait for a Heart Attack. I will then go to the Hospital & revel in my Medical Care provided to me by my crappy government.

I'm making homemade vanilla icecream... possibly in red, white and blue.

Should perfectly match the red white and red flag of Canada. Well thought out. Even I acknowledge it's not a proper colony.

What makes it different than a donut?

Beaver tails are large long & about 2 inches thick of deep fried bread dough. Donuts are usually rounder & smaller, the dough can be cake or a yeastier dough unlike beaver tails.

Someone needs to do a detailed compare/contrast report of all the fried dough products out there including, but not limited to, donuts, beignets, and fairground style fried dough. The wiki article didn't do it for me.

There is this polish dish that is fried dough. I always called them doughboys but it's like powdered sugar on flatbread.
