Food Canning

"it did f*ck me on the apple jelly"

And there Ladies and Gentlemen, you have the second single from the album 728 Bakers Dozens of Eggs by The Goatf*ckers

We'll be helicoptering it to dinner in no time. UF is good for something after all.

I tried to make apple jelly w/apple juice a couple nights ago, but apparently went WAY past the 'gelling' point. I poured the dark 'jelly' into a jar for canning & it cooled to thicker than molasses. Gonna have to redo that effort.

Does anyone here can?

Why not some Apple butter

Unfortunately only the previous generation cans in my family.

Homemade applesauce is like nothing else.

TSRH Not as sugary as the stuff you by in stores. Summer Rambo's make the best sauce.

and you know... its actually tastes like something. I grew up on it, and the store stuff quite literally has no taste to me, and a weird waterey texture

Yes. We always do tomatoes and salsa plus assorted jellies, pie filling, fruit. Well I used to till I moved to Phoenix. Why do you need that contraption to can?
