Boss' Blackberry randomly locks up

The boss has a BB 8700c that, about once a day, will do nothing but show the spinning hourglass icon for about an hour. Any idea why it would do this? Is there a good blackberry help forum out there?

does he have 80 bajillion emails on it? have you upgraded to the latest OS?

poopsnatcher. looks like there's been an upgrade available since december. we'll see if that fixes it.

And yes, empty out the old emails too.

My phone will do that sometimes if I need to clean out the cache. Mine isn't a blackberry, but I use the internet on it all the time ..and it tends to wanna lock up when the memory is full. I guess that's what causes it to wig out.

All I know is my BB locks up rarely, and my wife's Treo is always crashing

I changed the outlook settings to archive old emails. will that cause them to be removed from the BB's inbox also when it synchs?

installed the update too. hopefully that too will help.

PS: my Treo is bombproof.

I haven't seen outlook archiving really do anything to the BB
