Ars Technica did a review of it, and basically said it was nothing more than a shameless cash grab by EA to soak up 'upgrade' dollars for DLC gear and skills and shit.
So basically what every other game company is doing now?

Not so in BFP4F. Each player account contains multiple soldiers, but each soldier is independent: his own name, his own XP, his own unlocks. And his own class. So if your soldier is recon class and you realize that the game you're in really needs more medics, too bad. Your soldier is recon and recon alone. You can't switch class in-game, you can't pick up other players' kits—your only recourse is to leave the game, switch soldiers, and then try to rejoin the same team on the same server as you were in before. Good luck with that.
Actually Punkbuster is on top. Other anticheats such as hackshield pR0 and xtrap are crap. Just look Combat Arms and SFront. Terribad with hackers.
lol, I have NEVER seen anyone defend Punkbuster before.
I never saw much cheating on BF2.
But it seems doomed to fail. Why do it at all?
Get people into it again before releasing the next game?
