Absolutely hated her job and after 5 years couldn't take it anymore.

I justify it like so: For $50 I can buy a sweet-ass game that will keep me home playing it, thus saving me massive amounts of money over many weeks from not going out, not using up gas in my car, etc.
 
To test ping do you just have to go to cmd and type ping whatever.... cause if so, I jsut pinged it at 39ms. (Not that I really care since I won't be playing the game).
