band logo...good or bad?

I like the picture. However, the font should be changed to size it with the image to make it more graphically appealing. Assuming this is for web only.
Guess you'll have to try it out and see if it is big enough to be legible on those medias. BTW, awesome name.

Why not put it on like a sticker or something to make it seem like the packages was stopped by customs or something and stamped "suspicious package"?

I had always envisioned the logo as the frontside version of Loverboy's "Get Lucky" maybe without the hand and substitute jeans.
I really like this idea. As of right now, you have a cool name and a cool photo, but they don't connect in anyway, it looks like you just threw them together.
If you wanted to go simple, you could always eliminate the photo altogether and just do the stamp look. I'll mess around a little with my idea when I get my computer back tonight (right now I'm on someone elses).
You could save the bomb to be used simply for an album cover.
I wouldn't worry about someone else having the same name. There are tons of bands with the same name .. as long as they aren't from your area, shouldn't matter a bit.
