Australia probably doesn't have unemployment

yeah, loaded questions are common, especially in politics where they're called "push polls". that just goes to show how reporting of results is so terrible. if more people took stats like yourself there'd be a greater demand for complete reporting of results by media outlets, not just a number by itself that you're just supposed to swallow.

I don't know how into statistics they will get, if at all, but I just started reading this last night.

I've heard that's a good book. Of course, I heard that from people he collaborates with. He's one of the contributors to the freakonomics blog.

Yeah, the freakonomics guy wrote a forward for the book. I'm borrowing it from a guy I work with. He said that he liked it so much that he read the whole thing in like 2 days.
