Jim Edmonds thumped a two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the host St Louis Cardinals a 6-4 win over the Houston Astros today, forcing a seventh and deciding game in the National League Championship Series.

I am a horrendous baseball fan. I completely forgot to watch what turned out to be a historic game between New York and Boston. Shame on me...:(
