I just always hated that they would try to throw themselves into the Department of Defense. Anytime someone would be giving praise or anything to the DoD you always have some ass throwing in the Coast Guard. (Go Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, and the queue the asshole who says "And Coast Guard") Prior to 9/11 they fell under the Department of Trans and they were moved under DHS. I don't put down the wonderful work they do but it always makes me laugh that they have so many coast guard stations in the middle of the US.
