anyone else here do consulting?

I do tech work for my dentist on the side from time to time. The money is nice, but its a pain using my spare time for more work.

I did about 6 months with a lawfirm in downtown ATL on the side around a year ago...I eventually quit because they were all idiots and arrogant douchebags to boot. *gasp, arrogant douchebag lawyers?? no way!!!*
sad when you are driven away from $75 an hour because the people are so fucking repugnant:fly:

I consulted with fly. We agreed that elpie needs to do more calendars.

I do, little tech jobs here and there for friends and friends of friends. i won't usually take on heavy jobs because of working full time and going to school full time.

I do a bit of security consulting on the side. Mostly penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, with some firewall/vpn setups to boot. It's fairly easy usually, and the money is killer.

beside WAW what kind of money were you guys making doing this?
I charge $50/hr for random PC work and it seems to pay well when I can find it. I usually make enough to cover booze for a weekend.
