Anybody have an idea of how I send food to the US?

My dad was just lecturing me about if I send food they'll turn it away. How can I make them not turn it away? I went to the US embassy site or something and looked at this "prior notice" stuff (which I dont understand) and it assumes I have a warehouse of jam that I want to pif or something.

I do believe theac tried sending out pressies last year with labels like that, mine got returned to him with a "Label more sensibly" tag.
