Really, I do the best that I can. There is unavoidably TONS of grey area though. I try to be pretty loose with my definition of ontopic simply because it can foster more ontopic discussion. But when an entire thread gets derailed, I definitely have to step in.

I could set all ontopic threads to be moderated, but that REALLY would stifle conversation, so its all a balancing act.
