I forgot our microwave has this convection oven setting. Okay so we can actually cook in it.
Don't microwaves usually dry things out? There are ways to counter it....but for cooking it completely, I don't think those counter measures would be very effective.
The ribs I made this weekend turned out awesome.

Neither good nor bad. It' took about 30 minutes to get the temp down by closing all the bottom vents, and the top on partially.
I need to use about half as much lump next time.
ah. What I liked was that in my smokey joe I maintained about 225 for 4hrs -without opening it- on a handful.
I was too busy eating and entertaining our guests.
