I don't think you know how unions work. You get what's on your contract and that's it. ScabI don't think you know how unions work. You get what's on your contract and that's it. Any changes have to be voted on and approved etc. You work directly for the company you get the upsides and the downsides of being subject to the whim of your employer.
I worked in a mixed place once, you could join the union or not. Join and youd get promoted after X time and X pay increases etc. and have to pay dues. I opted out and got promoted 4 times in my first year and a profit share bonus etc. Im not saying they arent good but...
