A company called Brewmeister Brewey, out of Banffshire, Scottland has broken the record for strongest beer at 67.5% alcohol content per volume.
The owners had previously created a 65% beer the year before. After selling 6000 bottles around the world, their fans said that it was not strong enough, so they spent 9 months retooling their recipe.
The new beer, called Snake Venom has a different taste than their 65% Armageddon. The reason for it is that they tried to hide a strong alcohol flavor in Armageddon by making it more oily.
As strong as it is, Snake Venom isn’t a cheap way to get drunk. A 275ml bottle costs about $80!
