Other than beer and wine I never drank for taste only effect. I was very fond of mixers. Coca cola is a great mixer, as is orange juice. Rotgut leaves hangovers so I would go for medium quality liquor if finances allowed.
I also drank a plastic two liter Ron Virgin rum bottled in Medford, Ma with my best friend in one sitting.

Saturday morning, @APRIL and I stood in (a fucking freezing) line for four hours at our favorite local brewery, Angry Chair. This was so that we could give them $300 a piece for tickets to their Super Rare Beer event that takes place during Tampa Bay Beer Week in March.

If a ticket gets you all the super rare beer you can drink for a whole week it's not too bad I guess.
It was 44F at the start, plus we don't own much for cold weather. My jacket was insufficient.
